We recently completed a full rebuild of the old German bass owned by Mr. Roman Pekar, a professional local player. In addition to reswelling and crack repairing the top with multiple clamp techniques, steam, and inlays, we fitted a new bass bar. The bar measurement was determined by cross referencing published measurements with a modified formula circa. 1910. The results were better than we all expected! Did we mention that the top was epoxied on?!
